审稿意见 求助: In particular, the authors state that “in comparison with fluorescent noble metal nanoparticles such as Au NPs and Ag NPs, copper nanostructures (NCs or NPs) have been considered as better fluorescent probes because of their excellent properties, including catalytic activity, much lower cost, and high electrical conductivity.” This is not a sufficient explanation of the optical properties of plasmonic nanoparticles. AgNPs and AuNPs are generally NOT fluorescent, but they can significantly enhance fluorescence. Differently, nanoclusters are fluorescent and can exhibit strong fluorescence signals. It would be great if the authors could provide a summarized explanation of the different behavior of noble metals acting as NPs or as NCs.
